The Russian Revolution
The Russian Revolution began after WWI. It occured from 1917 to 1918. Russia's economy and government were extremely weak because of the way the czar was guiding them threw the war. hunger and starvation was greatly hurting the population. The people were getting frustrated and extremely angry with the Czar. The Russian Revolutiona was also known as the March Revolution as it began in March, 1917. The people revolted against the Czar and he lost power over Russia. The Soviet Union replaced the Tsar military. Russia became a communist country. Lenin was the leader of the Voliet communist group, the Bolsheviks, which gained power in Russia. They followed the ideas of Karl Marx. Lenin told the people that he was a great leader and promised them "Peace, love, and bread."
